It turns out that the Jabro noise cancelling headphones are useful for more than flying on airplanes. I synced my music library with the MotoQ awhile back and paired it up with the C820s just in time to mow and blow the lawn. I keyed up Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” on the Windows Media Player and fired up the leaf blower… the headphones successfully shut out the drone of the blower and allowed me to hear the subtleties of the soundtrack. The battery in the MotoQ barely dropped a single click during the whole time. All in all, it was a great experience and one worth queuing up for the next time I’m working in the yard.
The only complaint I have with the headphones is that the AAA battery gave out before the job was done and that aweful static sound came out of nowhere… it was first noticable as if the MotoQ was having problems playing the music. A couple of skips in the music and then that aweful sound in my left ear. Not a problem, now that I understand what’s happening… a new battery replacement and I’ve got 50+ hours of static free music ahead of me.
I do wonder if there’s a setting to avoid the short pause between tracks on the MotoQ. The Wall is a continuous live recording and the silent skip comes out of nowhere, making an otherwise great experience less than perfect. I’m betting, however, that it wouldn’t even be noticed on a regular “album”.
